Description
The Shapton RockStar series is a 10mm solid ceramic sharpening stone — no glass backing plate, just a full-depth ceramic abrasive block of equivalent quality to the GlassStone range. No soaking required.
The 16000 grit is the finest stone in the RockStar range — used as the final finishing step after the 8000 to produce a mirror-polish, ultra-sharp edge. Particularly suited to straight razor users who want the absolute finest possible edge before stropping and shaving.
GlassStone vs RockStar: The RockStar series is a 10mm solid ceramic stone. The GlassStone series features a 5mm tempered glass plate laminated to a 5mm ceramic abrasive layer. Both deliver equivalent sharpening quality.
How to Use: Splash the stone with water before use. Use after the 8000 grit. Work the blade in light, even strokes at a consistent angle. Strop thoroughly before shaving.
