Patricks began in an award-winning Bondi barbershop, where its formulas were tested on the shop's own clients before launch. SH1, its daily thickening shampoo, was awarded first place for thickening after the Hearst Institute tested it on 700 men over three months, and has been named a best thickening shampoo by GQ and Esquire.

It works two ways. Cosmetic thickeners swell the hair shaft so hair feels fuller from the very first wash, while 14 active ingredients target hair loss over time: acetyl tetrapeptide-3 for follicle support, red clover extract for DHT defence, saw palmetto to help inhibit the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT, ginkgo biloba for scalp circulation and coffee extract to energise follicles. Patricks says anti-hair loss results are usually visible in three to four months of consistent use. It's paraben free and cruelty free.

The fragrance is built to bloom in the heat of the shower, with citrus, aromatic, warm spicy and woody notes over vetiver and Baltic amber. Patricks says plenty of customers liken it to David Beckham Instinct.

How to Use: Massage one or two pumps into wet hair and scalp, then rinse. Use at least three to four times a week for scalp health, or daily. Follow with CD1 Conditioner.
