Description
Merkur has been making safety razors in Solingen, Germany for over a century. The 42C uses the same reliable closed comb head as the Merkur classics, dressed in a six-sided antique diamond pattern handle that deliberately references early 20th century safety razor design. It's a nice piece for those who appreciate the historical connection — and the handle provides a naturally confident grip in the hand.
The closed comb head delivers the same mild-medium aggressive shave as the rest of the Merkur closed comb range. A compact 80mm overall length makes it easy to handle and well balanced for daily use.
