Description
The Muhle R89 is one of the most consistently recommended safety razors for both newcomers and experienced wet shavers — its closed comb head delivers a smooth, efficient shave with a forgiving blade angle, and the chrome handle is well-balanced and comfortable in hand. The Silvertip Fibre brush that accompanies it is Muhle's premium synthetic bristle, engineered to mimic the softness and water-holding capacity of natural silvertip badger without the ethical or maintenance concerns. It builds a dense, cushioning lather quickly and rinses clean easily.
The matching chrome stand holds both the razor and brush bristle-side down between shaves, allowing them to dry properly and protecting the bristles over time. A cohesive, practical setup that performs well on the bathroom shelf.
How to Use: Soak the brush in warm water for 30 seconds, shake off excess and load with shaving soap or cream. Work into a lather on the face or in a bowl. Load a double-edge blade into the R89, angle at approximately 30 degrees to the skin and shave with light, consistent strokes. Rinse thoroughly and return to stand bristle-side down.
