Setting 1 or 2, and use short, light strokes. Let the weight of the razor do the work — don't press.
What blades does it use?
Any standard double-edge (DE) blade. Astra are included to start you off; most enthusiasts try a few brands to find their preference.
Fixed vs adjustable safety razor — why go adjustable?
One razor for every situation. Daily light shaves on setting 2, weekend catch-ups on setting 4-5, holiday growth on 6. A fixed razor can only do one of these well.
What's the warranty cover?
2 years against manufacturing defects. The finish will patina naturally with use — that's expected, not a defect.
