Proraso Sandalwood & Shea Butter Nourish Shaving Cream is the Proraso Red shaving cream for thick, coarse beards and dry skin, in a 150ml tube. Shea butter hydrates and softens, sandalwood oil adds a warm fragrance, and the dense, creamy formula builds a rich lather with a brush.

The Red line is Proraso's range for coarse beards. Enriched with sandalwood oil and shea butter, this cream protects even the driest skin against the razor and makes thick, hard beards easier to shave. Sandalwood oil also brings calming properties.

It is made by hot saponification, with the reaction left to run overnight so the oils, fatty acids and alkalis blend fully, then cooled slowly and settled for 3 to 4 days to reach its creamy consistency. Proraso says the process makes the soap more protective on the skin and smoother under the razor.

How to Use: Squeeze about 2cm of cream onto a damp brush or into a bowl and work it in circular motions into a thick lather, then apply to damp skin, or over a pre-shave, and shave.
