Ciotola Rossa, Italian for red bowl, has been made the same way since 1945, when company founder Tcheon Fung Sing designed both the soap and its now-iconic container. Still produced entirely in-house in Turin, it is genuinely a zero-kilometre product: handcrafted, packaged, and shipped from the same family workshop.

The fragrance is bitter almond, warm, slightly sweet, with a subtle cherry-like depth. It is the scent most closely associated with traditional Italian barbershops and remains one of the most recognisable in wet shaving. Three generations of the Tcheon family have made this soap without changing the formula, and for good reason: it works.

The soft soap loads fast and lathers generously with any quality brush. Expect a dense, cushioning lather with good glide and a clean post-shave feel. Works with all razor types.

To use: load your brush directly from the tub using circular strokes, then build lather on your face or in a bowl. A small amount goes a long way.
