The Dovo Best Quality is one of the most recommended entry points into traditional straight razor shaving. Made in Solingen, Germany, it features a 5/8" carbon steel blade with a full hollow grind and round point tip. The full hollow grind makes the blade more forgiving during the learning curve, and the round point reduces the risk of nicks while you develop your technique. The acrylic handle is well balanced and comfortable in hand. Blades are not required — the Dovo is a fixed blade razor that is maintained by stropping and periodic professional honing.

The Muhle strop is an essential inclusion. While the Dovo arrives factory honed and ready to shave, a few passes on the leather side of the strop before each shave maintains the edge and extends the life of the blade significantly. The canvas side, used with the included strop paste, removes any residual oxidation and keeps the blade in peak condition between professional honings.

The Beard & Blade Classic Synthetic Shaving Brush, made by Simpsons/Vulfix in the UK, builds a dense lather quickly from the included Proraso eucalyptus and menthol shaving soap, giving your skin the cushion and glide needed for a comfortable straight razor shave.
