The Ti22 is painstakingly machined from Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), an aerospace alloy known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. While lighter than steel, titanium offers superior durability, making the Ti22 a true “buy it for life” safety razor.

Although the head geometry remains identical to the AL13, the Ti22 weighs 2.23 oz (63g), nearly double the aluminium version. This added mass provides a different shaving feel — slightly more momentum through the stroke while maintaining Henson’s tightly controlled blade alignment.

Because titanium threads can bind or gall, Henson machines Nitronic 60 stainless steel threaded inserts into the handle, ensuring smooth tightening and long-term reliability.

Aggression options:

Mild: Extension 0.0013" | Blade Gap 0.027"

Medium: Extension 0.0023" | Blade Gap 0.033"

Aggressive: Extension 0.0045" | Blade Gap 0.039"

Outside of the aggressive option — exclusive to the Ti22 — the shave profiles remain comparable to the AL13.
