Merkur has been making safety razors in Solingen, Germany for over a century. The 23C uses the same reliable closed comb head as the Merkur 34C, extended with a longer, slimmer 106mm handle that makes it easier to navigate body shaving areas where a shorter handle can feel restricted. The knurled handle provides a secure grip across the full length, and the 3-piece construction comes apart easily for blade changes and cleaning.

At 61g it's lighter than the 34C, making it a nimble everyday option. Largely cardboard packaging with minimal plastic use makes it a practical choice for those reducing waste.
