Kaolin clay draws excess oil from the root to keep the finish flat and dry with no shine creeping back through the day, while silica bulks out each strand for natural thickness. The result is a soft, pliable hold with no crunch, which suits fine and medium hair that needs body as much as control.

It sits a step up in hold from the Modern Pirate Matte Clay Paste, with the same no-shine finish in a smoother crème texture. Kakadu plum and Tasmanian kelp extracts round out the formula, and the water-soluble base rinses out with shampoo and warm water. Not tested on animals.

How to Use: Scoop a small, pea-sized amount onto your fingertips and rub between your palms to warm and activate. Work through dry or towel-dried hair and style with your fingers for a flat, matte finish. Add more for extra hold.
