Morgan's was established in London in 1873 and the Hair Darkening Pomade is the product the company was built on, still made at its own factory in Whitstable, Kent. Bismuth citrate adds a little colour with each application, so grey hair darkens gradually over three to four weeks rather than changing overnight. Once you reach the shade you want, apply less often to maintain it. The petroleum base means a small amount goes a long way, giving medium hold and shine for slicked-back styles, and the wheatgerm oil (a natural source of vitamin E) keeps the hair conditioned. Morgan's tip: the process works faster in warm sunlight or with a hairdryer.

How to Use: Work the pomade between your hands and rub well into the roots and evenly through the hair. Brush as usual. Apply daily until the desired colour is obtained, then continue as required to maintain it.
