Muhle has been making safety razors in Germany since 1945. The Companion is the first unisex safety razor in the Muhle range, designed with beginners firmly in mind. Two guide rails on either side of the top plate help establish the correct shaving angle — if the angle drifts too far in either direction, the rail corrects the distance, reducing the likelihood of nicks and cuts during the learning phase. Blade exposure is deliberately kept low for a forgiving shave on all areas of the face and body.

The 112mm handle provides good reach for leg and body shaving, and includes a hanging cord at the base for convenient storage in the shower or on a hook.
