Rockwell designed the 6S around a simple insight: blade exposure preferences vary widely between shavers, and a single fixed setting can't serve everyone well. The solution is three reversible base plates that provide six distinct blade gap settings — from R1 (mild) through R6 (aggressive). Swapping is as simple as loosening the handle, changing the plate, and tightening again.

The 316L stainless steel construction gives the 6S a premium, weighty feel at 118g and ensures it will outlast any chrome-plated zinc razor. The large head slots rinse cleanly during the shave, and the knurled handle maintains grip with wet hands.
