Shapton Glass Stone HR 4000 Grit

The Shapton Glass Stone HR 4000 is a fine-grade whetstone for re-sharpening and refreshing a dull blade in the second phase of honing. Used after the 1000 grit to refine the bevel before finishing with the 8000 or 16000.

How to Use: Splash the stone with water before use. Work the blade across the stone at a consistent angle in smooth, even strokes. Follow with 8000 or 16000 grit to finish.
