It’s here! Our brand new site has launched! For those who have already had the pleasure of browsing and purchasing since the launch a couple of days ago, you’ll likely agree that the upgrade has been well worth it.

In this blog we’ll give some background into what prompted the change, and highlight some of the most exciting features for our customers to look forward to. So let’s jump in!

IMPROVED SHIPPING

If we told you that we've completely overhauled our warehousing and logistics systems, we wouldn't expect much excitement. If we then told you that these improvements will mean a more seamless order fulfilment process with quicker dispatch and faster delivery times, we're sure you'd take notice.

Our warehouse is now equipped with the sort of automation that Arnie tried to warn us all about in the movies. With more items now being tracked as standard, you'll notice the differences with every order.

We haven’t forgotten about our international customers either. Orders to New Zealand will now arrive more quickly, and we’ve increased the shipping options for orders from the rest of the world.

BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER

We spent a great deal of time deciding upon the best platform on which to build our new site. We wanted it to be secure, easy to use and most importantly, blazingly fast! After lots of poking and prodding around multiple options, it became clear that Shopify’s modern take on e-commerce websites was the perfect fit.

With Shopify, our site is guaranteed to be at the cutting-edge of the best security and performance that the web has to offer. For us, it means more time to focus on improving other aspects of our service, and for our customers, it means peace of mind that shopping with Beard & Blade is safe and reliable.

MORE WAYS TO PAY

Adding American Express and Apple Pay to our checkout options were two of the most requested features by our customers – and we listened! Our site will now accept payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and Apple Pay, making it easier than ever to breeze through checkout.

Apple Pay, similar to PayPal’s One Touch™, allows users with supported devices to complete billing details with just the tap of a finger. And Android fans, Android Pay is just around the corner!

MORE WAYS TO SHOP

Many of our customers are already on Facebook, and it made perfect sense that we should be too. Our Facebook page now has a Shop section that lists all the same products, at the same prices, as our regular website. You can browse and shop from within Facebook and your order will be seamlessly sent off to our warehouse for picking and dispatch using Shopify’s secure integration.

What’s more, the same feature is available from within Facebook Messenger. Just start a chat with our Beard & Blade page and type “Shop now” to get started.

MORE WAYS TO BE NOTIFIED

Another of the biggest pieces of feedback from our customers was that they wanted more information about their orders. Our new site will send an order confirmation email when and order has been placed, and another notification when it has left our warehouse. Tracking emails will be sent by the courier used for that particular delivery.

So what else could we do? Like offering products for sale through Facebook, we thought it made sense to use the social network for order notifications too. This opt-in service will deliver order updates straight to your Facebook Messenger. Got a question about your order? Just send us a chat message right back!

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

As you browse around the site, you’ll find a number of tweaks to the general layout and design. The home page should feel fresh (but still familiar), and the product detail pages have been torn up and re-created in a much cleaner, organised design.
