Starting today, we are proud and excited to announce the release of our own range of men’s grooming products! Working closely with some of the industry’s leading artisans, we’ve begun to build a collection of items that we hope you, our customers, will love.

This project has been a long time in the making, and in fact, its origins go right back to the beginnings of the company itself. You see, Beard & Blade (originally Shaver Hut), was born out of frustration with the unreasonable prices and lacklustre quality of the men’s grooming products available to Australians through regular retail outlets.

In the 10 years since we started, we’ve partnered with the fantastic brands that you see on our site today, and worked hard to make them available at affordable prices – backed-up by great customer service. We were happy with our progress, but our vision was not complete and there was more work to do.

All of us here at Beard & Blade have bathrooms filled with products from our shelves and, while we have our favourites, we’ve always wished we could combine certain characteristics from different products to make exactly what we wanted. So that’s what we did!

We’re no experts when it comes to manufacturing, so we’ve partnered with specialist small-batch companies to bring our ideas to life. Some of these partners you’ll recognise as the men and women behind a few of our existing products, while others are great people we found after a painstaking search for artisans that shared our vision.

We’re in no hurry, and our Beard & Blade product range will grow over time. For us, it’s more important to release a product that we’re proud of than to rush something out the door that doesn’t quite live up to our own expectations. Initially, our range will include a beard oil and a beard shampoo made locally here in Melbourne, with a beer shampoo bar following soon after.

Increasingly, our customers have let us know that natural, vegan-friendly products are important to them, and we have been listening. Each of these three products are both 100% natural and vegan-friendly – two things we will endeavour to maintain across all of the products we release.

So what’s next? Over the coming months, we’ll be adding more products that help to complete our vision of a men’s grooming brand that ticks all the boxes in terms of quality and affordability. Whether it’s for shaving, maintaining your beard or looking after your hair and skin, you can be confident that it’s a product we’re proud to call our own.
